  • I’m thinking about flowers…

Today we had a lovely weather and all I wanted to do was to be outside and refresh my garden. It’s something doable in my home town in Florida, but my family and friends up north are going to have to wait a little longer.

  • Celebrating my birthday…

If you have following for a while or are new here one thing you may know is that I love celebrations. I don’t take birthdays for granted. On 2004 I was diagnosed with cancer and the battle was very emotional, personal and spiritual. You can’t help it but letting God take the wheel and guide you through the days. With four surgeries and five tumors birthdays are very special in my house.

As time goes by I am more inspired and motivated to give it all I have to see my daughters grow, my marriage get stronger and my business flourish into what God is (and has) intended. Here’s a pick of my days of celebration. You read right, days, I celebrate for a week and more if I can!

  • black, white and pink…

Tuxedo Wristlet in Pomegrante for on the go / by wanda lopez designs

Who doesn’t love black and white together? Black and white is one of those colors that goes well together and never goes out of style. One of the things that I enjoy doing with a B/W combination is to marry them with a touch of color. Usually a punch of a bold color. (more…)

  • Take a chance today…

31-Days-of-Simplicity-take-a-chance-today-wandalopezdesignsWow! This photo sums it up very well!

My heart has been filled with ideas and designs, but my fear has been my worst enemy. I start second guessing everything and end up putting myself down. By the time I do make good designs and worthy of being shown, I lack courage to do so.

A couple of nights ago I was reading a blog post that Whitney English wrote about (more…)

  • It’s all part of the process…

Sundays are one of those days of the week when I take some time to sit and meditate on what I have done so far and the many things I still wish to accomplish in my life. It’s like taking a snap shot of my life.

31-Days-of-Simplicity-process-wanda-lopez-designsI find myself constantly thinking about the process I’m in at this stage in my life. If I’m making a good use of my voice and the talents that God has giving me or not. The purpose of everything I do is to glorify Him and learning how to use the tools I have been given is part of my process.

Today during our Sunday service we were remembering the goals that were set for our church at the beginning of the year. Some of the faces showed concerns. Concerned that we have are not where expected or where we all had wished we were.

When one of the members came to me for my opinion I reminded her that goals are set so that we can all something to look forward to. But, things can change during the year, they do and they have. I believe in going through the goals at the middle of the year and re-evaluate if some new goals must be set.

We may not have grown in numbers, but we have most definitely grown in character and have been growing in knowing Jesus more. We learned more about Jesus ministry while on Earth and what He expects from us. We have learned about our gifts, talents and purpose. We have learned to work as a team and love each other as a family.

Looking at all the things mentioned above, I’ll say that we have done pretty good (even without the expected growth in numbers). I expressed to that member that all the changes that our church (and us) have been through it’s part of the process.

31-Days-of-Simplicity-it's-all-about-the-process-wandalopezdesignsLoving the simplicity in the process and what I’m learning through it all! Praying that we can all learn through the process and grown in the middle of it!

  • Fall {Animal Print} Handbag

    Fall is in the air!

I love all the seasons, the reason for it is that they all show a marked difference on the environment. The surroundings are physically changing and the climate changes too. I just love change. That can be one of the reasons why I love fashion so much. I love the fact that fashion changes with the seasons.

I made a bag months ago that I haven’t added to the shop yet. Before I add an item, I test a sample for a while and show it off to see peoples reaction. If they complement the bag or not. If the bag goes with the season we are in or not. That is the case of this particular bag, that I ended up calling Grace Hobo Bag in Leopard. A must have for fall, if I may say so myself!

Grace-Hobo-Leopard-wanda-lopez-designsHandbags must me pretty in designs and simple in usage. The more items you add to the design the heavier it is. Most women won’t buy a bag if it is heavy on its own. Imagine how much more it will weight with your personal items inside the bag?

This particular bag, the Grace Hobo bag, is made with a beautiful soft leopard fabric with a stunning black suede fabric to complement and also work as a contrast. It is light in weight, but also sturdy, it holds its shape beautifully.

Also, stay in touch for an update on the shop and when this beautiful animal print Grace Hobo bag will be available.
